Netflix lost almost 1m subscribers between April and July, as the number of people quitting the service accelerated.
But that was not as many as the streaming giant had feared, with the firm’s chief executive, Reed Hastings, saying that popular shows such as Stranger Things may have prevented a further slide in subscriptions.
The company reported its first subscriber loss since 2011 in April, news that was followed by hundreds of job cuts and a sharp drop in its share price.

Maybe if they didn't cancel amazing shows. Examples, I'm not Okay with This, The Santa Clarita Diet, Luke Cage and many MANY more that i can't remember the name of because they were cancelled after only ONE season. Netflix is the service you want if you want seasons with no ending. They even purchase old shows that were cancelled with no ending and don't continue it. Why buy an unfinished show?! Not to mention that it takes YEARS for them to upload episodes and seasons from AMC shows like Better Call Saul and The Walking Dead. We've heavily been considering cancelling Netflix as well. Lately, we've been watching HULU more often anyways. 🙄

I cancelled Netflix for many reasons.
1. They are part of the woke movement. which I'm not okay with them indoctrinating my children with that stuff.
2. I started paying $7 and ended up paying almost $16 for 2 screens sharing.
3. They need better content.

Netflix made a huge mistake by moving aware from paid content and pushing indie directors. Most of their releases are absolute garbage!

They are ripping their customers off.. as a 90’s baby I remember how nice it was to own your own VHS or DVD movies and watch them whenever you wanted without subscription fees and stupid annoying ads. If people these days had any common sense they would do just that.

The real story here is Netflix is standing up to Larry Fink and his corporate giant Blackrock. It's their threats and bullying that have turned all our entertainment media into platforms of social and political propaganda and Netflix is realizing that they're losing subscribers by yielding to this pressure to post agenda-driven degraded content. The same thing is happening to Hulu and most other news and media outlets. Netflix is currently facing child pornography charges right now for carrying the show Cuties and they have been forced to air this garbage. THIS IS NOT IN THE MAINSTREAM NEWS! But they are the only corporation who is now defying Blackrock by not pulling Dave Chappelle's special that the WOKE culture finds offensive. As a result Netflix ESG rating on the stock market has plummeted as Blackrock controls this and they're losing investors. But they're smart enough to know that at the end of the day what really matters is their audience. Support Netflix!
