Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino reveals orgies, addiction

The hit Netflix series “You” starring Penn Badgley has ended its fourth season, and although there’s no Season 5 renewal yet, creator Sera Gamble said that she’s planned Joe’s future.

The next incorporates spoilers for the top of “You” Season 4.

“There definitely might be more,” Gamble, 39, told The Post. “Now we have an idea for what happens next. But, we hope for the perfect and prepare for the worst. I feel like in case your show hasn’t been picked up and also you write a season finale that’s only satisfying if it’s a cliffhanger – and we’ll let you know what happens on the opposite side – it’s tempting the gods to cancel you.”

The thriller follows Joe (Penn Bagley), an obsessive stalker / serial killer who thinks of himself as a complicated romantic. Each season shows him relocating to a latest city, becoming obsessive about a latest woman, and ingratiating himself right into a latest circle of (obnoxious) friends, before the show veers into death and destruction. Season 4, which was split into two parts (each now streaming) followed Joe as he moved to London, posed as a professor, got himself right into a friend group of posh Brits, after which bodies began falling.

The season ends by revealing that certainly one of Joe’s latest acquaintances, fellow killer Rhys (Ed Speelers) has been dead for some time, and when Joe continued spending time with him, that version of Rhys was simply in Joe’s mind.

“The day we began talking about this, I walked into the writers’ room like, ‘We’re gonna do ‘Fight Club.’ It’s how we talked about it within the writers room,” said Gamble.

“We got here from the angle of Joe as a personality becoming increasingly unhinged. The concept was that he would eventually reach some extent where he couldn’t really misinform himself anymore. So, the a part of him that needed to proceed to behave like that on the earth would just split off entirely, and just stop bothering the good a part of Joe with the small print of it, in order that Joe could go on believing that he was man.”

The finale ended with Joe back in Latest York City, now famous and wealthy, with a wealthy latest girlfriend, Kate (Charlotte Ritchie). Gamble said that if there may be a Season 5, it should pick up from there.

“We actually like the thought of Joe coming full circle to Latest York, but being in such a unique position – being among the many people he was judging as a Brooklyn boy in Season 1, and having unlimited resources, but additionally having lost the anonymity that helped him get away with all the pieces he got away with the last time that he was in Latest York.”

Penn Badgley also recently made headlines for voicing his desire to have fewer sex scenes within the show. Gamble said that didn’t impact the story.

“The conversation that he and I had was very much about what we were asking him to do as a performer, and physically what the script was demanding of him, when it comes to contact with other people. And that could be a fundamentally technical thing to deal with. There was no a part of the conversation that was about rewriting the type of show we were making. Penn and I  remained on the identical page about that.

“But, in the case of ensuring that every one who’s working on a show is heard about something as basic as consent to the touch one other person…that’s something where my job is just to listen to what he’s saying, what he needs, and to speak him through it to return back and what we are able to do to attempt to help with it.”
