X’s global affairs head Nick Pickles is quitting Elon Musk’s embattled social media platform after a decade with the corporate.
Pickles said he had decided to depart the corporate formerly generally known as Twitter several months ago and was working with Chief Executive Linda Yaccarino through the transition.
“After greater than 10 years, tomorrow can be my last day at X. It’s been an incredible journey,” he wrote on X late Thursday night.
It was not immediately clear what his next plans were, or why he made the choice to quit.
X and Pickles didn’t immediately reply to requests for comment.
In June, X’s head of business operations, Joe Benarroch left the corporate, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people aware of the matter.
Pickles had began at X as a senior manager of their London office in 2014 and was appointed the Vice President of Global Affairs for X in 2023 after serving in multiple roles, his LinkedIn profile showed.
The Financial Times reported that he was the corporate’s spokesperson in battles with multiple governments, including in Brazil, which said last week it was suspending access to the social network within the country.
The favored social media platform missed a court-imposed deadline to call a legal representative in Brazil, triggering the suspension.
Musk has argued that Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes was attempting to implement unjustified censorship, while the judge has insisted that X needs hate speech regulations.
