A lady recently asked her TikTok followers to share a number of the most “unhinged mother-in-law stories” — and other people didn’t disappoint.
“Tell me your most unhinged monster-in-law stories. Not only [that] she was obsessed together with her kid or hated you. Give me all of the crazy tea? What’s essentially the most f—ed thing she has ever said?” Courtney Knoblach (@courtneyk6260) asked in her video that has now received almost 1,000 wild-in-law stories within the comment section.
“Also, should you are still involved or should you went no contact?” by finished her request by asking.
“Judges me for being a SAHM [stay at home mom] and ‘using her son for money,’” one commenter shared.
“Once we got together, he was jobless, no license, and sleeping on his best friend’s couch. I built him up for years. You’re dang right,” she continued.
“My MIL sits in my apartment car parking zone and watches us through the windows,” a commenter revealed.
“She called me a murderer 3 hours after I gave birth to my stillborn daughter,” one other shocking comment read.
“My MIL attempted to nurse my baby for comfort when she babysat her once,” another person shared.
The “unhinged” trend has been seen throughout social media in recent months, with people connecting with others by asking them to share a feral story about any topic they select.
Knoblach specifically asked to listen to other wild mother-in-law stories since it’s a subject she will be able to relate to, as she has an estranged relationship together with her mother-in-law.
“She’s never met our son,” she told TODAY.com in an interview.
“I sometimes miss her and need we could talk,” the 28-year-old said.
“I’d love to listen to what my husband was like as a baby, to check him to our son, little things like that. But even when I desired to, she has me blocked.”
With reference to the numerous in-law stories Knoblach received on TikTok: “They made my situation look not so bad!” she told TODAY.com.
Knoblach isn’t the just one going through it together with her in-law — one other mother named Julia Cheva took to TikTok to ask for assistance on handle a situation together with her monster-in-law.
The text, “TOXIC MIL. My mother-in-law said we want to chop my daughter’s hair, since it’s so thin and she or he doesn’t look good with the ponytails I’ve done,” read on the video.
After the text “Today I went to take out the trash and guess what?!” appears, the video then shows this woman’s baby girl in a highchair sporting a brand new hairdo.
“She cut her bangs [fringe]. Just have a look at how uneven it that is. What can I do to make it look higher?” the continued text said.
The empathetic commenters took Cheva’s side in this case.
“Oh hell no!! She lost access. I’m a grandma and that’s crossing an enormous line,” wrote one person.
“That might infuriate me. Your husband must set boundaries with HIS mother. I’m so sorry this happened. Hopefully it will possibly be resolved. Much luck to you,” another person suggested.
