With the WNBA season a little bit greater than two months away, the Liberty struck a take care of WNYW Fox 5 Recent York to proceed to be the reigning WNBA champions’ official TV partner.
The multi-year partnership extension, announced Thursday morning in a press release, ensures continued access to Liberty games for greater than 7.5 million households within the tri-state area.
The Liberty made history last season after they became the primary women’s skilled sports team to ink a Fox 5 distribution deal.
With 23 local TV games split between Fox 5 and its sister station, WWOR My9, the Liberty saw their local TV viewership increase 129 percent year-over-year, in line with the discharge.
The apparent success prompted Fox 5 to extend its investment for the Liberty’s 2025 title chase and beyond.
That features plans to launch a recent weekly show centered on the Liberty’s title pursuit.
This system is anticipated to incorporate game highlights, feature segments and interviews with players.
The extension also keeps locally televised Liberty games on Fox 5 and My9 for the foreseeable future. Local games are also expected to be streamed on the Fox Local App.
Terms of the agreement, including length and the deal’s monetary value, weren’t disclosed.

“We’re excited to call such a major platform our local TV home for years to return and recent Liberty-dedicated programming will increase fan accessibility while also elevating our brand and driving business growth for each our franchise and girls’s sports at large,” Clarke said in a press release.
