As he inherits his late mother’s duties, King Charles III will now have to step away from his decades of activism work, including his climate-focused campaigns.

The 73-year-old dedicated much of his time as Britain’s longest-serving heir to environmental activism — from planting trees, to building carbon-neutral homes, to giving fiery speeches — even if some of his actions sparked controversy.

The crown has already went to his head. Hopefully the UK gets King William V soon. Dude seems less insane. Charles used to brag about being related to Vlad the Impaler, not something you want to brag about.

He should pass the throne to his son and then pursue his passion .

It is NOT his passion. Being King is. 🙋🇨🇦

But aren't animal farts contributing to global warming? I thought we need to get rid of animals? Or is that only cows? I can't keep it all straight.

  13. disgusted says:

Charles is a huge hypocrit when it comes to environment anyways. You don't take private planes everywhere, live in mega huge mansions that all require heat and hydro even if no one home, mega cars (all gas) etc. etc. etc. The WORST of the carbon makers are the ones who preach to everyone else to change their lifestyles in way that they cannot financially afford.

My mind just can't wrap around Charles as king. Of the three siblings, Anne always impressed me as taking her duty seriously. I don't think that we peasants respect him very much, but he has done little to earn it, to be serious, and we count in this equation.

Isn't it funny how Global News reporter David Akin goes on a rampage attacking the conservative leader and nothing is said or done about it. But some dude tells not-c Chrystia 🙋Freeland to stay out of western Canada and Justine 👳 is ready to call it a hate crime and send him to prison. Yep, Unbiased coverage as usual.
