Tens of thousands of people have been forced to flee wildfires as a record-breaking heatwave scorches southern Europe. Hundreds have died from the effects of the hot weather. The worst-hit countries are France, Spain and Portugal. Scientists are blaming man-made climate change, and more devastating forest fires are expected in the coming days as parts of the continent brace for new temperature records.
The intense heat on the Iberian peninsula has created the conditions for flames to spread more quickly. And firefighting operations are more difficult because of wind and low humidity.
In Italy, the hottest July since 1800 and a record drought has sparked wildfires. The fires are wreaking havoc in tourist spots which had just started to recover from the Covid pandemic. In Mijas, in Malaga province, more than 3,000 people have now been evacuated from homes.

It took over 11.000 firefighters from different countries to, dozens of helicopters, planes and other vehicles to get the fire under control in Slovenia. All under the threat of steping on left over mines from ww1. Respect and thank you!!!
europeans are not habbitied to live in high temp. first avoid the ac's, arrange the fire fighter from high tem. countries to fight with high temp. wild fire in this situation. its post disaster plan. european fire man have to work on sprinkling water on other unfired wild area to avoid fire, arrange the bore wells in to the wild area for availability of water easily, build the sprinklers in wild area and arrange the more no. of rain water pit holes to increase the ground water level. its pre disaster plan.
Plantation and growing of Gaint Oaks plants and Melaleuca quinquenervia trees is important.
