Taiwanese tech giant TSMC warns an invasion of the island would render its factory inoperable, devastating global supply. Tensions are rising ahead of a potential visit to Taiwan by US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

And the growing chip shortage continues. Last week Taiwan said its key position in making semi-conductors won’t be shaken in response to the U-S passing a law to subsidize its domestic semi-conductor industry. Europe also wants to ramp up production. Germany has been trying to clinch a deal for a plant from TSMC, the biggest player. The company’s factories in Taiwan are running at full capacity to alleviate the shortages.

Here everyone you heard it from me: TSMC AND EVERY SEMICONDUCTOR FAB MUST BE PACKED UP IN SHIPS AND MOVED OUT TO ANOTHER COUNTRY ASAP!!! Dismantle the operations, tear down the supporting systems and most important…. TAKE EVERY DOCUMENT, FILE OR IP ASSET AND GET IT OUT THEN BURN IT ALL DOWN TO THE GROWN WHAT'S LEFT! Suggested places would be: USA, Canada or the UK as well as Germany! LEAVE NOW!!!!!!!!!

  5. Birds_are_really_fierce says:

They won’t. America must legally provide defense capabilities to Taiwan and potentially directly with boots on the ground. China wouldn’t dare ruin everything.

TSMC intend to setup plant in Arizona, are you sure it is a good choice.
In US, it is the workers Union that call the shot or they will go on strike if terms and conditions does not met THEIR requirement. Even the President dare not even interfere fearing losing the workers support.
They want more pay but work less and does not support working in a 3 shift rotation and 5 days work and production rate will be severely hinder. No more your company terms and conditions but the workers Union collective agreement and conditions otherwise you will face their blunt force of a shutdown.
Really if the terms is right, Foxconn would have setup the plant during Trump’s era and it clearly shown that they are never going invest in such a conditions.

The first country to ever attack Taiwan with warship was the US in 1867. and the country that supported japan invading Taiwan during the mudan incident , was the US in 1874. the country that sold weapons to japan during the first Sino- Japanese war, 1894 1895 leading to china's defeat , forcing china to cede Taiwan to japan, was the US from 1894 to 1895. the country that actively pushes for Japanese containment of china, in Taiwanese containment of mainland china is the US from the 19th century until today . So can we really say that the US is our friend ? i mean we are being used to serve US imperialist interests . these recent events show us that so-called Taiwan separatism is not true independence , but it further embroils Taiwan into serving US imperialist interests . True independence means independence from this sort of hegemonic , unequal relationship where you don't even have dignity as a human being and I think this sort of independence can only be achieved through peaceful reunification with the rest of china .where each one are equal citizens with equal rights and have to our voices heard as equal citizens and not subjects of the empire.

Think deeply: who gains much from Taiwan instability? Is this strategic visit related to CHIPS and Science Act $280b (just passed) which aims to attract chips to US? Which one business of Taiwan is highest in value and strategically useful to world economy? To Asian governments, aren't we so weak that we allowed a no-benefit visit stirring up our region stability? Are we so weak to dance with the wolf?

Just in general, it sucks how it's getting too late. In regards to the United States alone, of course other countries, It all comes down to money and spending and the US sending our jobs off to other countries to manufacture things we could not survive without. I'm not getting into the reason why or numbers, I'm just focusing solely on this. Another thing that concerns me is we get most of our medications, ingredients, for surgery from China. Many people, including myself a few days ago, knew of the word "semiconductor" but I wouldn't have been able to tell you what it is or even a basic definition a few days ago. Just not one of my interests for areas of expertise for lack of better words. But now it's mind-boggling how many people like myself have or had no clue how important these things are to daily life. There's a video here on youtube, about fossil fuels , how so many things we use every single day are made from fossil fuels . It's just one of those things that people don't know about or take for granted . That without them, life would not be anywhere near imaginable. Some people are in for a shock. Things are happening all too fast for it to be a coincidence. Many private YouTube channels have been warning people of what's ahead and to prepare for what's coming and many people live with something called normalcy bias. They think just because there's not a shortage of something where they live, that everything's okay. They're in the Here and Now and people that try to tell them to know what's coming, are always in for a rude awakening when it happens and it happens quick. Expect the worst but hope and pray for the best. A lot of people think things like this are conspiracy theories but lately, people are saying what's the difference between a conspiracy theory and reality? A couple of weeks or months. So many things that I've been following on YouTube, private channels, things that they are talking about, it's only a matter of time before mainstream media finally discusses it if at all. Nobody would be able to leave a comment under this video if it wasn't for semiconductors. If we only knew how many semiconductors we come across each day in our daily lives just doing our thing, our jaws would drop. For example, look up how many semiconductors are in your vehicle. Just Google it. We get most of our semiconductors from Taiwan. May God help us all, there are more innocent people in this world than these crazy corrupt leaders. With war, nobody wins. We couldn't live without China's Imports, they couldn't live without us. I just don't understand why countries are fighting each other over Petty stuff. I just don't get it. I just think I have more common sense than these corrupt people. Most of us do. I wish the world was more like "Live and Let Live." All of this craziness inside of a little speck of a planet in the universe. It's sad.

TSMC is using dual use USA hi tech VLSIC manufacturing tools that the USA would never let China seize and copy. TSMC has a hi tech staff that is also trained in these tools which I double the USA would leave behind either.

China’s claim that Taiwan is part of Chi a started long before TSMC…

..therefore this argument is not relevant..!

If there’s a war on Taiwan, it must have huge impact on the tech industry. I believe Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft…etc all those tech giants will maybe give some pressure to the US government to stop it happening.

🤦🏿🤦🏿Looking to the mid to long view, the biggest threat to semiconductor manufacturing in Taiwan is the USA.
I wonder whether the people in Taiwan understand this. The Americans are attempting to cut off dependence from Asia. Taking all the talent and knowhow away from Asia and moving it to the USA….🤦🏿🤦🏿

    👺👺👺👺SEMICONDUCTORS

IF the USA is so worried about national security in the light of China becoming a new world power ……… then WHY …..on earth is Taiwan (just 100km from mainland China), producing over 60‰ of the world's (including the USA)most technologically advanced semiconductors and microchips? 🙃🙃🙃

Something is wrong and also pretty OBVIOUS about this picture !!!
