This summer, football stadiums turn into fútbol stadiums.
Kicking off (literally) on June 20, the legendary international Copa América tournament is happening at U.S. stadiums for just the second time in its 108-year history.
Major squads set to compete on the 16-team round robin tourney include Lionel Messi’s 2022 World Cup winners Argentina, streaky Colombia (who’ve won 22 straight matches), the at all times competitive Brazil and, after all, the USA.
Latest York and Latest Jersey fútbol fans are in luck, too. A trio of matches will happen at East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium over the course of the 25-day tourney.
First up, Chile and Argentina square off on Tuesday, June 25. After that, Uruguay and Bolivia meet up on Thursday, June 27. Finally, a TBD Semifinal hits the Meadowlands on Tuesday, July 9.
Other notable can’t-miss matches unfolded over the US include Argentina vs. Peru at Miami Garden, FL’s Hard Rock Stadium on June 29, USA vs. Uruguay at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium on July 1 and Brazil vs. Colombia at Levi’s Stadium on July 2.
When all is claimed and done, the Final will happen at Miami Garden, FL’s Hard Rock Stadium on July 14.
And if you would like to be on the match of your selecting, it isn’t too late to snag last-minute tickets to witness fútbol history live.
On the time of publication, some Copa América seats are going for as little as $41 before fees on Vivid Seats.
Other matches have tickets starting anywhere from $47 to $659 before fees.
Curious how much it is going to cost you to go to the sport of your selecting?
