What we learned from Giants’ Week 4 win over Chargers

The same old Monday Mourning for the Giants has been replaced by something they hope becomes a more frequent weekly ritual: Monday Mirth. 

For a team that lost its first three games this season and, going back to last season, fell short in 14 of its last 15 games, with the ability to look back on a 21-18 victory over the Chargers allowed for relief in all corners of the locker room.

Here’s a look and what a few of it meant:

The small stuff

Constant losing creates a way that each mistake, every missed opportunity, every play almost made is the dagger that inflicts the mortal wound. Sprinkle in a win, and the belief sets in that victories also include missed opportunities that the team is in a position to overcome. In any case, overcoming is an enormous a part of what the most-games-are-close NFL is all about.
