If you wish to volunteer and support the Ukrainians that is a personal choice. However the US choosing to fund this war with taxpayer money when Ukraine is NOT a member of NATO is putting a burden on the American taxpayer.

The United States of America must help Ukraine quickly now, before tomorrow, with all the highly advanced programs and cannons with a range of more than 300 km and without conditions, because the victory of Ukraine is the victory of the United States of America. It is readily apparent, to any philosopher, that Russia never feared Europe, or them beginning to absorb other former Baltic States, Until, it was too late. The trust relationships, once broken, can never be returned to their initial starting position.
Seeing that Russia showed no fear, says that Russia intended no evil towards anyone.
However, when Russia determined that Treaties Signed with Nixon, had been broken when the US allowed NATO to point their missiles towards Russia, soundness of justification was present, to suspect harm from Central Europe and NATO.
Since, another set of Treaties Signed between NATO and Europe, were buried, when NATO promised, not to further expand is member nations by annexing those trieurs once under the control of Russia, from WWII, it became clear, that NATO and Central European States, could never be trusted.
The only possible explanation for this kind of reaction from NATO, towards s non-aggressive peacefully treaty honoring country, is, NATO feared Russia.
A psychologist would have to assume, that subconsciously, Europe intend harm towards Russia and never intended to perform their responsibilities to perform their end of the bargain, NOT TO REARM.
When appealing for help, always appeal to their self interest, instead of asking for help.

Not our problem. I don't care about Ukraine. I care about 🇺🇸. Let Russia take Ukraine. It isn't our business. Let Europe take care of Europe.
