Heroes, zeros from Jets’ loss to Ravens: Derrick Henry shakes off slow start

Post writers Paul Schwartz and Brian Costello on what to search for from the Giants during Day 3 (Rounds 4-7) of Saturday’s 2023 NFL Draft in Kansas City, Mo.:

Giants

The Giants in the primary two days of the NFL Draft checked off three boxes, so far as needs they wanted to handle on their roster by adding a cornerback, center and wide receiver with speed.

They traded away their pick within the fourth round and now have 4 picks remaining for Saturday — one apiece within the fifth and sixth rounds and two within the seventh round.

It is probably going they are going to try to seek out a security to make up for the lack of Julian Love in free agency.

Additionally they could use depth at linebacker and offensive tackle.

— Paul Schwartz

Jets

The Jets only have three picks entering Saturday — one within the fourth round and two within the fifth round.

UCLA quarterback Dorian Robinson-Thompson could be a an option for the Jets in Day 3 of the NFL draft.

They still could use one other linebacker, an interior defensive lineman and a few depth at wide receiver.

I also would control them taking a developmental quarterback within the fifth round.

If UCLA’s Dorian Thompson-Robinson is there, he could be an intriguing pick for the Jets.

— Brian Costello
