Wendy’s may soon be taking a page out of McDonald’s playbook.
Food bloggers @snachwithzach and @sodaseekers collaborated on an Instagram reel to disclose that Wendy’s is making major changes to the long-lasting Frosty in the approaching months.
The reported plan — which they cited to a leaked internal memo provided by “an anonymous source” — would allow customers to customize their Frosty with the brand new Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions.
In accordance with the duo, the Frosty Swirl will let customers add caramel, strawberry or brownie batter swirl to any Frosty — much like the looks of the Girl Scouts’ Thin Mint Frosty. They said that this can be added to the menu in April.

For the Frosty Fusion, they said that customers can mix in “sauce and various sweet treats” to a chocolate or vanilla Frosty. Though no specific flavors or treats were mentioned, the food bloggers said that individuals can expect something much like mix-ins just like the Oreo and M&M McFlurries from McDonald’s or Blizzards from Dairy Queen.
The Frosty Fusion will reportedly launch mid-May.
“The potential of this is very large,” @snachwithzach said within the reel. “The most important query I actually have is how that is going to affect limited-time offerings.”
“Some of the popular frozen desserts in fast food, the Frosty has gotten most of its updates in the shape of limited-time flavor changes, often using the prevailing Vanilla flavor as the bottom for a few of its more rambunctious options including Pumpkin Spice, Orange Dreamsicle, and Salted Caramel,” the caption read.
“It’s a move that’s highly competitive, and a few might argue much overdue.”
Nonetheless, @snachwithzach reiterated that Wendy’s has not yet confirmed the news but their source is “very reliable.”
The Post has reached out to Wendy’s for comment.
Fans jumped to the comments section to share their excitement in regards to the potential recent offerings.

“They’d these back after I was working at Wendy’s within the late 00s. so glad to see these coming back,” one person wrote.
“the most effective news of the yr up to now,” one other said.
“Yessss finally,” someone commented. “I dont know why Wendy’s didn’t at all times do that. Fries are a grip dipper but…to have brownies or another dessert option makes me glad.”
“They indeed used to have something like this!! I began there in 2006 and we had them then 🙂 so excited to see them come back,” a commenter said.
