They’re devils in disguise.
Two travel bloggers tried dressing up as Elvis Presley on a recent trip to Las Vegas in a bid to attain free flight upgrades.
British couple Ryan and Jade, who host the YouTube series Live The Dash, were flying Virgin Atlantic from Manchester, England to Sin City once they tried the travel hack.
“After we heard a rumor that Elvis gets free upgrades on flights to Vegas we had NO CHOICE but to place it to the test,” Jade shared in an Instagram post.
The couple arrived on the airport decked out in Elvis regalia clad in white jumpsuits and shades.
Ryan even rocked an Elvis wig in a bid to be bumped as much as top notch.
In a video documenting their upgrade attempt, Ryan might be seen approaching the airport check-in desk and saying: “We’ve got some premium economy tickets and we’re hoping that because we’ve dressed as Elvis Presley they’re going to bump us as much as upper class.”
Jade had high hopes about their plan.
“It’s gone down amazingly,” Jade said within the vlog. “Persons are loving our outfits. Persons are walking past and taking pictures, they’re asking if we’re going to Vegas, and so they’re making jokes about Elvis it’s making me feel so positive a couple of flight upgrade and in addition the journey that we’ve got ahead.”
Nonetheless, despite their best efforts and high fashion, the couple were stuck with the economy seats they originally bought, though they did snag a complimentary Virgin Redhead cocktail.
And, later within the flight, they were allowed into the upper class section of the plane to temporarily sit in a luxurious booth.
“That is the kind of luxuries that upper class get… and Elvis,” Ryan declared.
“The primary thing that I’ve learned is that it’s best to just wear Elvis outfits on every flight that you just go on since you never know what might occur,” Jade chimed in.
