The distribution of the assistant for electricity payments are not done fairly. Needs to be addressed so that persons who really need the assistance will benefit.

  8. Edith Watson says:

The NIS pension is just to pay for light and water bill. Heeeelp. Need heeeelp. Can't buy medication. The JADEP medication assistance is not always available to us ,so we have to buy direct from the pharmacy. It's high time NIS PENSION BE INCREASED

Minimum wage needs to raise to $12000 because a lot of person's hiring house helpers has no conscience if the can't afford to pay do the chores for themselves.. also the government do not care for the poor them just a talk out them mouth and that's it

The lands need to be till to cut importation of goods in the country but the government and opposition party lacks vision for Jamaica. Eloquent speech can't help the economy to go back where it once was where the USD was less for a JMD.

  12. Sheroline Brown says:

We don't need money from the government like that Teach to fish instead of fish for them and raise minimum wage

Mr Prime Minister, thank you for the 20% you offered on light bill. For the first month my light bill dropped the 20%. Last month (and this is not a Joke) my light bill went up by 20% of my original bill. Am now paying more than $2000 more than i have ever paid for light bill. Its a shame.
Why are we even thinking of handing out money to people.
Why dont we pay them a descent salary so they can be better able to finance themselves.
Yet still we are still trying to figure out why innercity people steal light and water they honestly cant afford it. Here I am with meterd light and metered water and struggling to do so. SMH

I really recommend removal of tax on patties, a meal that the poorest of working people can afford..2 patties and a drink being priced so near to almost $1000.00 is sad indeed…

Andrew(and all other politicians)doesn't understand, he has never been in poverty, if the government pays for your bills, you will pay for it in the end. Higher inflation, simple economics

    To every Jamaican:

"If you trust Government. You don't know History."
    — Luke Rudkowski

"The 9 most terrifying words in the English language is 'I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."
    — Ronald Reagan

"If you do not take interest in the affairs of your government, then you are doomed to live under the rule of fools."

    — Plato

  30. Elaine Moore says:

    Sir,
The country does NOT need short term solutions. You need to Reduce crime rate
    Stabilize our society
    Make way for greater interventions
    Create jobs.

  31. Sheron Robinson says:

And what amount will that cash fund be? $10,000? When you step inside a supermarket with that nuh change leave back to buy medication, so pls think this over properly if you really want to help or going to help Jamaicans in need.

  32. Mario Perry says:

But this too will pass, said Andrew.

We need better-paid jobs or a raise in salary. We need more jobs and opportunities if the country is gonna move forward.

    Governments are foolish and selfish.

  33. Cassis Brook says:

    Politicians don't understand.

  34. Sheldon Gayle says:

All the PM is doing is putting a band aid on a wound. Try long term solution instead of temporary fixes. Reduce the GCT off many basic food items. Food prices are high and are experiencing shortages. Why not startup farming in many areas so food can be affordable for domestic and export? These are just simple solutions instead of buying out people with a few dollars as if that can solve the real problem. Stop taking poor people for fools and do things that makes more sense.
