The Taiwan issue is China's internal affairs. In order to slow down China's economic growth, the US government is constantly provoking the Taiwan issue.

China won't take taiwan. It'll cost way many lives. A pyrrhic victory if any victory at all. If they somehow take the island, the insurgencies alone will bring an ocean of Chinese blood, both our countries have problems fighting guerrillas. Too many chinese will die, they know that too.
If I am the US, I want to see China attacking Taiwan so I can see what China military is capable of. If we did not defend Ukraine, it's laughable for Taiwan to think we will come to defend them. Japan also wants to see the same thing so they can witness China's military and be prepared for it. The only blind nation that believes the West will come to their defense is Taiwan alone.
