The sitting president does have the power to declassify classified documents. It's possible he did do it, but if he did, he didn't following the informal protocol of allowing people who are knowledgeable of the information in those documents discuss how declassifying them will effect national security. The president has the final say in the end. Either way The president, by law, is NOT allowed to take
into their possession any government documents classified or not. In addition, documents containing Nuclear information have duel protection and even ift he could have declassied them the information is still restricted it is against the law if he took them into his possession.
