Well, it seems straight to me. The Feds subpoened him for months before they raided. They asked for the papers back. Why did he not give them the files when they asked for them back? Why? And yes, I voted for him. Surely he has a reason for not giving them back. I mean he could have copied them in the months between. Maybe he has a copy of them on a stick or hidden in Geneva, Switzerland in a bank Vault.

It would appear based on the comments that people don't understand the gravity of this act by the FBI nor the consequences of doing so. No President has ever been raided much less brought under investigation for removing documents from the WH post presidency to include President Obama who has yet to release all the documents his administration removed following his presidency.
Need anyone be reminded that then candidate Hillary Clinton had a private server in a private residence unbeknownst to the government that contained classified information, was accessed via the public internet (for those of you who don't know, it is the least secure option for accessing servers), and then deleted 31K emails prior to review by any government agency. The two above examples occurred just within the last 6 years.
Logic would dictate that this move is unprecedented, appears politically biased (police state) based on the broad nature of the warrant. Hopefully the affidavit will be released in the coming days which will identify exactly what the government believed the former President had in his possession which would require such a move by our top law enforcement agency seeing as the National Archives Dept (NAD) was working with Trump's lawyers to account for, to include 15 boxes of documents previously provided to the NAD, as well as a request to lock that portion of his residence down so no one could remove/add items.
Learn to think with your heads folks instead of your feelings.

The goal of the Trump raid was to get a video or a photo of Trump in handcuffs. That's why the FBI waited 4 days to act on the search warrant. Very unusual. They were hoping that Trump would travel to Mar-a-lago and legally handcuff him if only for a few minutes.

The documents that the FBI seized during their RAID of Mar-A-Lago were the very documents that Trump was going to use to EXPOSE & hang them ALL with. An affidavit of probable cause that's 38 pages, 80% redacted, and released how long after the raid? There's so much about all this that's being completely ignored. One of the largely ignored facts is this: according to law, a warrant becomes public record the minute that warrant is executed. Why did it take weeks to release the warrant? Why didn't the FBI raid Hillary? Why did the FBI essentially snuff Hunter Biden's laptop? Why is the Ashley Biden diary being suppressed and ignored? Of course it's a political charade… they've been making up garbage and tying Trump up with frivolous unfounded lawsuits for 6 years… clearly they're witch hunting, clearly they're totally corrupt and biased, because you never see democrats being raided or charged with bogus nonsense! A crystal clear undeniable pattern of biased persecution has emerged. Doesn't matter which side of the aisle you choose, facts are facts.
