For the third consecutive week, “Avatar: The Way of Water” swam its approach to the highest of the box office.
On Friday alone, it raked in greater than $24 million in sales. It’s estimated to enjoy a $87 million four-day weekend, in response to Deadline.
Following in second place for the second week in a row is “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” which took home near $6.5 million.
The “Shrek” spinoff starring Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek already surpassed $50 million at the worldwide box office, as per Collider.
“Black Panther: Wakanda Without end” moved up a notch this week, rating in third with just over a $1.8 million-dollar take. The Marvel flick just made history because the highest-ever grossing female-led superhero movie.
In fourth place was “Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Any person.” The musical drama, based on the lifetime of the late “I Will All the time Love You” songstress, earned near $1.5 million.
“Babylon” the epic period comedy-drama starring Brad Pitt, trailed behind in fifth with $935,000 in sales.
