Travel trends are consistently changing, and the destinations people decide to visit change every 12 months.
Google Flights has revealed the preferred flights in the intervening time, with many travelers seeking to get away for the vacations.
Orlando, Cancun, Latest York, Tokyo and London were the preferred destinations individuals are looking for between Nov. 24 and Dec. 1, in that order.
Taking a look at fight data departing from US Airports between Dec. 22 and Jan. 5, the preferred trips for Christmas and Latest Yr’s Eve include destinations of Tokyo, Orlando, Cancun, Miami and Latest York.
“Should you’re traveling throughout the U.S. for Thanksgiving, our aggregate data shows that the most cost effective fares are frequently available in early October,” James Byers, group product manager, search at Google, told Fox News Digital.
Though most of the cities overlap for different holiday destinations, Orlando appears to be the favored favorite, taking the primary spot for hottest destination for Thanksgiving and the number two spot for Christmas and Latest Yr’s Holidays.
It’s likely that is attributable to the year-round warm weather with the attractions of theme parks comparable to Disney World and Universal Orlando.
Cancun, Mexico, one other sunny destination, also topped each lists, coming in second for Thanksgiving and third for the December holidays.
But despite the dearth of heat, Latest York got here in third place for popular Thanksgiving destinations, perhaps partly due to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and other seasonal activities, like ice skating at Rockefeller Center.
Airlines have been attempting to sustain with these travel trends by updating their routes.
American Airlines has added recent flights to warm and sunny places like St. Lucia, St. Maarten, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, while JetBlue and Southwest are bringing their services to the Bahamas and Puerto Rico.
