1. Ohio State (8-0) (Last week: 1)
Because the Buckeyes’ Week 1 win over Texas, their last seven victories have come by a mean of 33 points. It only gets easier next week, when Ohio State visits Purdue, which is 0-6 within the Big Ten.
2. Alabama (7-1) (2)
On paper, Alabama’s late-season schedule was difficult. But games against LSU and Auburn don’t look nearly as threatening with each programs firing their coaches. That leaves Nov. 15 against Oklahoma in Tuscaloosa because the hardest test left.
3. Indiana (9-0) (3)
Like Ohio State, Indiana isn’t just beating the remaining of the Big Ten — it’s destroying the conference. The most recent victim: Maryland, which was thrashed 55-10 by the Hoosiers. Ohio State and Indiana are on a collision course to satisfy within the Big Ten championship game.
