“The Nun II” creeped its way back as much as the highest slot on the box office on Friday.
The gothic supernatural horror film — which stars Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet and Bonnie Aarons, who all return from the primary “Nun” film — brought in $2.4 million on Friday, in accordance with IMDB’s Box Office Mojo.
“The Nun II” is the ninth installment within the “The Conjuring” franchise, the very best grossing horror franchise of all time.
Collider called the most recent flick “an efficient, gory, and impressively scary addition to the “Conjuring universe” that also stands as a solidly by itself.
“A Haunting in Venice,” based on the 1969 Agatha Christie novel, was bumped down a notch to the No. 2 spot, bringing home $1.7 million.

The Denzel Washington-led motion thriller “The Equalizer 3” maintained its third-place slot on the box office and took in $1.35 million.
The star-studded biographical comedy “Dumb Money” — based on amateur investor Keith Gill, who urged Reddit users to speculate in GameStop, subsequently driving its value up 1,700% — made it to the highest five for the primary time since its Sept. 15 release. It took in $985,000.

Directed by Craig Gillespie, the film in regards to the Wall Street shake-up stars Paul Dano, Shailene Woodley, Seth Rogan, Pete Davidson and America Ferrera.
