Federal prosecutors on Thursday announced criminal charges against an 18-year-old Wisconsin man for a scheme to hack user accounts of the sports betting site DraftKings.
The person, Joseph Garrison, is accused of working with others to steal about $600,000 from roughly 1,600 victim accounts throughout the November 2022 attack, in keeping with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Manhattan.
DraftKings just isn’t named within the criminal criticism against Garrison. But an individual near the corporate confirmed it was a goal.
That is breaking news. Please check back for updates.
