For those who’ve been holding out in your lunch and are only eager to get some food in your belly, the last item you’d be doing is checking your food for anything suspicious — especially if you happen to’ve just bought it from a cafe.
But, after one Aussie creator took to TikTok together with her terrifying find, it’s useless to say that you simply’ll be taking a re-assessment to any extent further.
“I bit into his little orange bit…”
Aussie TikToker Emily, on the app as @notbrightemily, has taken to the app to share her scary find in a seemingly harmless chicken wrap.
“I used to be just eating my chicken wrap, and I bit into this little orange bit,” she said.
“I’m like, ‘That’s a extremely hard carrot!’. Look what they left in my wrap!”
Within the video, she pulls out the ‘orange bit’ to disclose a knife, wrapped seamlessly inside. Thank goodness she didn’t eat it from the opposite side!
Within the video’s caption, Emily clarified that though she did return to the cafe to let the staff know, she selected to not take any serious motion.
“I recently bought a wrap from a small café and discovered a knife inside. Thankfully, I noticed it before any harm occurred,” she said.
“I returned to tell the staff, understanding that accidents occur. I’m grateful I wasn’t injured and that it was me who found it, as another person may need been hurt.
“While some might react in another way, I think it’s all about perspective. Had the situation been more serious, I might have taken further motion, but I’m just thankful and grateful it wasn’t as serious.”
“That’s scary, not funny!”
Commenters on the post were alarmed at how relaxed Emily was concerning the whole situation, even saying within the comments that she let all of it go for just a few blueberry muffins.
“That’s scary not funny,” said one commenter.
“You’re way too calm about this happening. I’d be going crazy! Imagine if a child bite into it and got the sharp side. That’s so dangerous!” one other agreed.
“No but what if u actually ate it from the opposite side… that’s so incredibly scary,” said one other commenter.
“The way in which my jaw hit the ground,” a fourth said.
Others even encouraged her to think about legal motion.
“Tastes like a lawsuit to me..” one commenter said.
“I almost spit my drink out watching this, please tell me you sued,” said one other.
“GIRL THATS 10 MILLION DOLLARS. GET A LAWYER!!” one other person agreed.
It’s the Aussie way!
But, some agreed with Emily’s response, saying it’s simply the Aussie technique to find the humor within the situation.
“Perhaps keep buying your wraps at the identical cafe until you could have collected a full cutlery set” one commenter said.
“did you ask for sharp cheddar?¨” one other joked.
“That is what my mom thought was in my Halloween candy,” said a 3rd.
“Are you able to imagine how confused the employee was? Recent levels to ‘where did I put it???’” one other asked.
