Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, does it? Nothing will ever sound as good as Three Rivers. This is just one of many reasons I'm not completely loyal to any one sports team anymore. I mean, I have a list of favorites but am not a total fanatic who would never change my list. It's all about money and politics, now more than ever. The owners and players are rarely loyal to the fans or each other, so why should we sell our souls to them?

While being ignorant is not good…in this case, ignoring somethimg such as this is probably a healthy thing for Steelers fans. It's possible the ticket prices could've gone up or beers could be $15. So, the sponsorship deal might have been decided thusly, and with the lesser of evils comes the necessary evil of having to look at this name change & just be grateful the Steelers don't have to wear pink & neon green uniforms.
