This happened a couple of years ago, hose pipes were banned under threat of fine, but Cuadrilla were allowed to carry on fracking, using up millions of gallons of water per well. Rules for thee but not for me. Again and again and again.

Didn't the Government at the time of the last drought and all the other major parties agreed to continue this project, they said they were going to start a project to interlink the UK major reservoirs so that water could be moved around the country as required, Kielder water is the biggest I believe, near where I live and would be one of the main suppliers.

I use about 3/4 cubic meters of water over a 3 months billing period so around 12 definitely under 16 a year. Average for single occupant home is more like 50…
I take dish and rinse water through to buckets in the bathroom and also I scoop up shower water to flush the toilet with… Simple as that really, also nice to have some water already there if my boots or bike tires or something needs washing or wiping down. People use more water than they would really need however then larger scale landscapes are not managed for the benefit of watershed patterns which for all my personal low water needs is a much more important issue really…

“I think this country’s track record is second to none when it comes to welcoming refugees.” And he didn’t even chuckle after he said that. So first the government sends refugees who risk their lives to have freedom to Rwanda and then pats itself on the back for welcoming 10.000 refugees from the Ukraine? Hungary alone has received 570 thousand of them…

    No drought. Refill the reservoirs

    https://freewaterfortheworld.blogspot.com/2022/07/refill-reservoirs.html

And summer circles the earth, water is a short commodity! A week Nome the UK will introduce a hosepipe ban. When British water applied to restrict the income!

Yet at night the water company is have large amounts of unused electrical power. Required to use only and a to drive pumps to to cure in the water around the country.

The need to drop a waited snorkel into a nearby river or the sea, and suck out water vapour. By definition water boils in a 0° C, we one metre of vacuum. That requires one Whatt of power. Another the water vapour is 1000 times easier to pump and liquid water! And it rolls of film really without a problem.

  32. Jonathan Thomason says:

    Water no rain

    https://freewaterfortheworld.blogspot.com/2022/07/water-no-rain.html

I remember the summer of 1976 in the UK. Where we had a three months of glorious sunshine: the usual UK summer is three days. This year we got two days!

And the global warming people bobbed off again and declare that things are going to get warmer. Two days later years of actor usual English summer. Distinctly not warm!

But the global warming feeble are not given up on summer! They are predicting A UK drought. We have the usual UK summer.

I'm surprised they haven't blamed racism. sexism or people who aren't homosexual for the drought. The media is so out of touch with reality, its only a matter of time.

  35. Lee says:

We are a small island surrounded by water, no excuse for this government to be unprepared for a "drought".

  37. Lech Orlowski says:

It is a shame that UK, so pround of helping Ukraine, ARE NOT taking significant number of refugees from Ukraine. Other Euriopen countries taking HUNDREDS THOUSANDS and Poland over 2.5 million!. With no questions asked! Not unknown number!

  38. Lech Orlowski says:

Debate was lousy, pointless with no intellectual discussion or practical solutions or answers. As Tory usualy do.

Free water for Italy & the world

    https://freewaterfortheworld.blogspot.com/2022/07/free-water-for-italy.html

Ciao Italia, come stai oggi? Ti regaliamo un sacco di acqua fresca gratis!

We are not limited to natural rain fall: that is the defective Roman thinking, which cannot use it to the fourth of the Roman empire. It is embarrassingly easy to use it use pressure to cause liquid water to boil. It will even cause I is to turn directly into water vapour.
