And for those who have a Robin Hood mindset, thinking "Oh it's bad for the business but they are rich." Understand that the cost of shoplifting impacts you and every shopper. When an item is stolen, profit is lost and items become more expensive to compensate. When thieves rob stores, they are robbing the community.

The oppressed minority is a growing, malignant tumor that is destroying this nation from within. This all started in California and now it's spreading to other parts of the country.

They could line people up outside and have customers bring a list of what they want. Then have only employees shop for the customers and bring in the customers to pay or even set up a pay window that way they never have to come inside.

You can also create a membership program where people pay to be able to shop kinda like Costco

  27. El Cesar Benito says:

We all got to understand that theft has risen rapidly in major cities in the U.S. People were told to save there money because somethings going to happen economically. Now the rise in shoplifting is going to continue why because nobody but i mean no body in the infamous life will help out in the needs of the people. People also shoplift not for their personal needs but they do it for or to keep their habits or to sell what they stoled for double the price. So don't cry store owners just close up & leave.

Wow! New York City is becoming as bad as San Francisco, California. People are stealing time after time, and it is heading for the worse. Just like the Walgreens Pharmacy stores have been closed permanently, this wildfire could happen in New York City. I would doubt it that it would not happen at a second's notice.

  40. sara k says:

  41. sara k says:

They need to start just letting people shop at a window. Put iron gates up . Put a small window up and push there goods outside a small window. Or just close down the store and move it to a better place hopefully it can at least slow it down

  42. virgolove 4ever says:

They need to make it legal for store owners to be able to at least taser anybody you cut in the act stealing…..

  43. Roger Phillips says:

I just had a great trip To New York state. People away from NYC are real and average Americans. I totally avoided NYC I have been there in the past. It is today an unsafe hellhole and anyone going to visit must be uncaring about their safety. Many I talked with in northern New York rarely go there and some lifetime New York residents have NEVER been there. I even drive my car onto the ferry from Connecticut and camped two nights in a great state park on Long Island. No way was I z going to drive through the hellhole city to get there. Please when you see a New York license plate driver don't insult them by assuming they are from NYC. Always ask them what park of New York they are from. I do love New York but the state not the city. Maybe with decent city leaders it can be a great place again
