The youngest coach to win a Super Bowl isn’t as young as he was once.
Rams head coach Sean McVay tore the plantar fascia — a thick band of tissue connecting the heel to the front of the foot — during his team’s 33-19 Week 2 victory over the Titans on Sunday.
“Foot’s good,” he revealed on the “Coach McVay Show” on Monday night. “I did tear my plantar fascia, so yeah. Well, that’s a superb thing, because I assume it lets you heal a bit faster. But I used to be being dramatic, limping around towards the tip of the sport, however the MRI confirmed I did that.

“Excellent news is I’m not playing,” he added. “I’m just on the sidelines watching, so if I actually have a bit cool limp so as to add some swag, you then’ll know why.”
McVay, who led the Rams to a championship in 2022, didn’t point to a particular moment that the injury occurred, but he was seen hobbling on the sideline toward the tip of the sport — a stark contrast to his typical sprint.

A former wide receiver at Miami of Ohio, the 39-year-old has established a repute for his vigorous coaching style, one that always finds him running up and down the sidelines, beelining at referees and even joining his team ultimately zone for touchdown celebrations.
McVay didn’t say whether he’d have to wear a boot throughout the recovery process.
The Rams are undefeated through their first two games, but can have their work cut out for them after they visit the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles on Sunday afternoon.
