“For reference, I’m about as far-off from land as you may be on this planet,” he mused.
He then shared a Google Maps image showing his location, which he estimated to be “well over 1,000 miles away from any piece of land.”
At one point, the TikToker joked that he lost his sailboat, before panning to the vessel anchored out on the horizon.
“It’s incredibly disorientating to be out on a paddleboard with nothing on the horizon except a supercool sunset,” said Luke. “It’s so quiet.”
Despite his isolation, the salty dog described the scenario as one in every of the more “incredible things” he’s been “privileged enough to experience.”
The TikTok commentariat didn’t share his sense of wonder.
“Bro is certified insane,” said one horrified viewer, while one other wrote, “Bro uninstalled fear.”
“What kind of anxiety medication are you on because I want it!” exclaimed a 3rd.
One TikTok wit quipped, “The very best thing about sailing across the Pacific Ocean alone is that you just should not have to do it.”

“Imagine you drop your phone,” fretted one commenter.
Actually, many commenters wondered how Luke managed to get such signal in the course of the ocean.
“Man’s uploading from the Pacific Ocean and I’m losing network in my bathroom,” joked one.
