NYC feels like the least free place for good citizens.

I believe giving some non violent criminals a second chance. There should never be a second one. Bring back the gallows and protect inocent people.

Common sense says repeat offenders need to get harsher penalties. Criminals will keep doing the crime if all they get is a slap on the wrist.

Who would have known that releasing criminals out the same day without consequences was a bad idea.

When I was younger and first started voting I thought I was democrat. As I got older and obviously started to understand the consequences for voting certain sides in that all changed. I've always been a hard worker, I pay taxes like crazy. This democrat crap isn't working NY things have to change. Can't sit in on videos complaining about everything, you voted for this. Now NYC is an crazy animal town with violence probably as bad as the 70's even more vicious if anything. There's absolutely no fear of authority at all that I think they're actually giving up, half of them can't even protect themselves anymore. You have the same types of people constantly committing crimes and getting let back out. Laws have become a joke because certain individuals wanted it that way and now no ones safe…way to go 👍. If you think half the people you vote for are really involved guess again. Its a job its a title. Half of them are so clueless about whats going on in the neighborhoods. Its going to come down to each their own its going to get even worse. At least when I was younger people were scared of getting caught, they had fear of going to jail. Cops came down on them hard and now look an officer can't even fist fight back the way they need to because of a video if shown of that its police brutality or rasicm or whatever they'll try to sue for. I feel throw out everyone in charge get all new people or some old school leaders back in change tge laws back and come down gard real hard. Let a criminal know you will get your a** whipped by the police and thrown in jail and you're not coming out. Nothing will change until the thugs know they do have special privileges and all these disgusting rights over us innocent civilians. I worked with certain individuals trust me they're not working in our best interests. They're either out to 2 hour lunchs, golf or on vacation because they accrue so much time and half the time they're in their offices they don't even take calls. Us the citizens have to take over sorry to say but its true. It will come down to that I can just see it. Also want to add why do we vote for one individuals to handle the entire NYC and five boroughs? Even here in Long Island? What the heck is one person going to do? I think we need to vote people in by boroughs and towns alot more you know the ones that actually live in that town and have to walk the streets, go to store and look be among the criminals everyday. I'm not talking driving by in a car either im saying someone who knows the streets. Just because they have these stupid college degree don't mean anything to me anymore. We need ordinary individuals in charge hard working everyday people that live in it. And once we have someone with the nerve to make a change they will definitely need to be able to do more. Because don't get me wrong there are people who want to do things but their hands are tied because of these stupid laws that us the people voted for. Little hint, criminals will always want things to come to them easy, everythings made to easy for people now welfare, free housing, bail reform.
