The UK has recorded record temperatures above 40C for the first time, heightening concern over the impact of global climate change.
Thermometers hit 40.3C at Coningsby in Lincolnshire while dozens of other locations exceeded the UK’s previous highest recorded temperature of 38.7C.
Fire services declared major incidents after a spate of blazes. Some rail services were cancelled after tracks overheated or buckled and overhead cables failed.
The Met Office chief of science and technology Prof Stephen Belcher said exceeding 40C in the UK was “virtually impossible” in an undisrupted climate. However global warming due to greenhouse gas emissions meant extreme temperatures had become common.
The world has already warmed by about 1.1C since the start of the industrial era and climate scientists say that temperatures will keep rising unless governments around the world make steep cuts to emissions.

BBC fuels climate change fears.
Every day it seems there a headlines and rumors talking about global warming. One newspaper will claim its hype, that the mainstream media is misreading scientific data and then using that information to mislead the public. On the same day, an internet media outlet will claim that there is new scientific “proof” that global warming is on the rise and the planet is doomed. The very next day there is a terrible cold front bringing record cold temperatures and people everywhere ask each other, “Global what?”
Almost everything you have heard from the mainstream media about global warming, greenhouse gases, and carbon dioxide , has been misleading at best and plainly false at its worst.
Al Gores and all his cronies have been shouting for years that the earth is heating up to the point of destruction when, in truth, those greenhouse gases are actually causing the earth to cool down.
In a report made public in the Principia Scientific International (PSI) NASA tracked infrared emissions from the earth’s upper atmosphere during and after the solar storm that happened March 8-10th. They discovered that most of the energy released from the sun during this storm was reflected back into space, NOT dumped into earth’s atmosphere.
world governments need to come together with scientists who are aware of the real situation, not the 'renewables by 2050' people, not the greedy corporate reps looking for monetary advantage, and advise us of an intelligent plan: Dr.Tao, Dr.Peter Carter, Dr.Shakova, Prof.Dr.McPherson, Jim Massa, Dr.Kevin Anderson and people they trust.

It could be a very cold Winter. The apparent turmoil in weather patterns is producing some heat spikes, but larger parts of the planet are experiencing exceptionally cold weather. This is not reported by the media.
This happens as a planet cools. The current warming phase stopped some years ago. This is widely know by the scientific community. It's hard to not notice such things when sattellites are recording tempertaures all over the planet.
The North Pole is experiencing it's coldest Summer on record.
Amazingly, the BBC are not reporting this fact.

What's all this crap I've heard this morning about met office presenters getting record abuse, and being told to "get a grip" etc. Leave them alone, especially the lasses, it's about time they took the BRUTAL insane heat far more seriously, far too often they selfishly glorify the appalling EXCRUCIATING temperatures, like when I was watching a bbc weather report on the TV once a few years ago and the presenter showed somewhere abroad where there was 36C and he arrogantly referred to it as "glorious", well what absolute INSANITY! Anything significantly above 20C is ABSOLUTE TORTURE for some folk who suffer from extreme heat intolerance and absolutely INSANE profuse sweating, who are trapped in a body which is FAR TOO HOT which IS a disability, and a brutally severe disability but which is never recognised as such and instead only treated with OUTRAGEOUS contempt by all those spoilt rotten, pampered SICK EASY-lifers with bodies like snakes, always so cold-blooded and desperately seeking insane heat and their insane idea of a so-called "escape" is to go haring off on a plane to somewhere insanely HOT when it's already far too hot here in the UK. So how on EARTH can it be an escape?! What utter INSANITY! My idea of an escape would be to go somewhere where it's much COLDER, no more than about 16-17C and wild and wind swept, and where I could get lots of really ROUGH sea journeys on ferries, just like some of those elsewhere on you tube.
