Ravens re-sign Ronnie Stanley before he hit NFL free agency

Ronnie Stanley is staying put this offseason.

Just days before the NFL’s free agency negotiation period, the Ravens locked up Stanley for the near future.

The highest offensive lineman signed a three-year cope with Baltimore on Saturday value $60 million with $44 million guaranteed at signing, in line with Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

The left tackle’s recent contract averages out to $20 million, which is tied for eighth-most at his position.

Stanley, 30, was expected to attract strong interest from quite a few teams within the open market.

The 2-time Pro-Bowler has been a member of the Ravens for nine seasons, with the team drafting him in the primary round of the 2016 NFL draft.

Stanley’s best 12 months got here in 2019, where he became Baltimore’s first left tackle to achieve an All-Pro team since Hall of Famer Jonathan Ogden.

The offensive lineman suffered a left ankle injury throughout the 2020 season, which saw him miss nearly your entire following season.

Within the years following his injury, Stanley has missed 36 games due to ankle, knee, and shoulder injuries.

The Notre Dame alum is coming off his best season since his injury, playing in every game last 12 months for the primary time in his profession.

Stanley also had the twelfth in pass block win rate amongst tackles last season while blocking for Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.

Stanley took a 50% pay cut last season to stick with the Ravens following a down 12 months in 2023, where he had a career-high in penalties.

Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta and head coach John Harbaugh said on the NFL mix last month they were hopeful they might re-sign Stanley, in line with ESPN.

With Stanley’s signing on Saturday, the Ravens have now returned 4 starters on their offensive line from last season, through which Baltimore boasted the No. 1-ranked offense.
