Finland joining NATO and starting to talk about hosting foreign troops in defiance of its 80 year peace treaty with Russia is a grave mistake.

Russia just pulled troops off that border.

Sadly, Russia has decided that any assault from Finland will be met with a full thermonuclear extermination strike. No need for conventional forces, Finland and any NATO troops just cease to exist. On the southern border there's some buffer to Volgograd & to Moscow & Rostov so conventional war is still possible.

But not in the North. Withdrawing troops just says kiddie time doesn't exist so near to St. Petersburg.

Finland won't exist to invoke Article 5, and the USA and UK are actually too cowardly to destroy the world for either Finland or the Baltics. USA and UK security guarantees and treaties are worth absolutely nothing.
