The genius of these people is displayed when the woman glues her hand and THEN tries to open her bag and unfold the banner. 🧠

"We've glued ourselves to this piece of art. Now the people who paid good money to come to this art museum to see this piece of art aren't going to be able to see it and will be terribly inconvenienced all because of us! Surely that will convince them to start seeing things our way and supporting our cause!"

I am Italian from Florence, I love the art of my city and I am aware of how this kind of masterpiece is unestimable and it definitely belongs the whole humanity but I cannot not support the brave act of Laura and Simone, yes, I know them personally and I thank God to have had the chance to know them, because they are serious, committed people who really try to do their best every day to mobilitate people, to make them aware of the massive impacts of the climate and ecological crisis on all our lives. They knew of course they were just glueing on a protective glass and they were not in search of personal glory or publicity for themselves. They both have had huge sacrifice in their lives, like being on hunger strikes, leaving university studies, being arrested and persecuted by "law". So, it is ok if you do not agree with the methods but just know they are doing it to get attention for the most important cause for all of us: our survival on this planet as human beings. The science is clear and we are seeing it more and more affecting our lifes, communities, economies. Our governments are not telling the truth and not doing what is necessary to save us from hunger, wars and extinction that will follow if we go on in this way. The social pact is broken. They are taking the risks and have been exposed to violence and overreacting repression, but they are perfectly non violent, as you can see with your own eyes. So why are you blaming them? These people only deserve love, sympathy and admiration.
