Preventative health startup Prenuvo on Thursday announced it would offer three latest health assessments along with its flagship full-body MRI scan.

The corporate is launching an in depth blood test, neurological scan and body composition evaluation that was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in recent weeks. Prenuvo said that it wants to offer customers an accurate picture of their health, and that its patients have been asking for more.

“They’ve come to the understanding and realization that the health system will not be serving their needs because it pertains to keeping them healthy,” Prenuvo CEO Andrew Lacy told CNBC in an interview. “Consumers are increasingly in search of alternate solutions so that they can stay on top of their health.”

Prenuvo exploded in popularity due to its $2,500 full-body MRI scan that has been lauded by celebrities like Kim Kardashian. The corporate can check for tons of of conditions like cancer, multiple sclerosis and aneurysms once its custom, FDA-approved MRI machines scan an individual’s body in an hour.

The complete-body scan and the brand new blood test, neurological scan and body composition report shall be packaged together and offered to customers for $3,999, Lacy said.

Prenuvo has surpassed 110,000 members, and the corporate generated $100 million in revenue last yr. It owns and operates 17 clinics across North America and plans to expand to fifteen more locations in the approaching months, including sites in Europe and Australia, Lacy said.

Lacy said Prenuvo has grown quickly but is profitable.

Prenuvo has faced criticism for its steep prices, and a few health workers have warned that the scans aren’t meant to switch targeted screenings and will cause patients to search out unnecessary care.

Investors are bullish anyway.

The corporate announced Thursday that it closed a $120 million funding round, co-led by Left Lane Capital, Forerunner Ventures and its existing investor, Felicis. Prenuvo will use its fresh financing to support its product expansion, its push into latest regions and explore applications for artificial intelligence.

A competing full-body MRI startup Ezra announced a $21 million funding round last February.

Prenuvo has the most important repository of whole-body MRI imaging on the earth, Lacy said, which implies there are a lot of opportunities for the corporate to construct models that make its exams more accurate and its 80 board-certified radiologists more efficient.

The corporate’s latest body composition evaluation, which is named the Prenuvo Body Composition report, uses AI to evaluate the amount and symmetry of muscles and the distribution of fat within the abdomen. Lacy said muscle size and distribution is a number one indicator of mobility, and fat distribution can affect risk of metabolic disease and heart problems.

“This is actually, really essential information for patients who need to proactively manage their health,” Lacy said.

Patients won’t must undergo any additional imaging for the Prenuvo Body Composition report.

Prenuvo’s latest brain health scan can be imaging based, and it gives patients a glimpse into their cognitive health and performance, the corporate said. The scan uses neurological sequences through a Prenuvo partner to evaluate blood flow, the brain’s microvascular structure and discover any repetitive trauma from activity like sports.

It requires an extra 10 minutes of imaging, and the sequences are already FDA approved, Lacy said.

The blood assessment is latest territory for the corporate, and it would check patients’ biomarkers to supply insights into hormonal, cardiovascular, metabolic and immune health. Lacy said the test could help detect leukemia, a blood cancer that cannot be identified with imaging, as an illustration.

“Blood and imaging together is just incredibly powerful,” Lacy said. “It is not a case of 1 plus one equals two, it’s one plus one equals five.”

Initially, a phlebotomist, a one that is trained to attract blood, will come to patients’ homes to gather the blood sample, Prenuvo said. The corporate also plans to attract blood inside its facilities eventually, but Lacy wants to supply a premium experience that’s as calming and comfy as possible.

Patients can access the brand new assessments at Prenuvo’s Silicon Valley, Los Angeles and Recent York locations starting Thursday. Additional locations will offer the tests this spring, the corporate said.

“Nobody goes to care about your health greater than you do,” Lacy said. “While you diagnose things early, it’s empowering. You possibly can do something about it.”

Correction: On account of a misstatement from the corporate, a previous version of this story incorrectly attributed the event of the neurological sequence technology to Prenuvo.
