The executed men were accused of helping to fight against the army which seized power in a coup last year.

For those who don't have much background knowledge related to this topic, here it is.
Junta and his troops done the most horrible indiscriminate attacks & crimes in history on its own citizens and yet they're not capable to control the oppositions happening all across the country.
So now, they're using their 2nd final card but they miscalculated this time again since oppositions became stronger than ever. So Junta is currently preparing to execute another 42 out of 177 political prisoners to push further.
I mentioned 2nd final card, because 2 out of those 4 Pro-Democracy Activists have very close relations with Nobel Laureate Daw Aung San Su Kyi.
Since she's the main leader representing majority of Burma and also Junta himself hated and scared her to dead personally, she is obviously the main and last target for Junta in this Burma Spring Revolution.
I hope Junta won't go that far.
