She’s tickled Pink.
A girl who went into labor during a Pink concert has honored the pop star through her newborn son’s name.
Angela Mercer was attending the “So What” singer’s Aug. 1 show at Boston’s Fenway Park along with her sister-in-law Amy and mother Barbara when, not long after their arrival, the 31-weeks-pregnant Angela began having contractions.
She called her doctor — who advised her to go to a hospital.
“With all of the traffic surrounding Fenway for the concert, Angela had trouble finding a ride to the hospital,” social media posts from the Brigham and Women’s Hospital read.
Angela and her family decided the fastest solution to get to the hospital — which was 1 mile away — was to walk, so that they set out on their trepid journey.
“Uber and Lyft, we ordered certainly one of each and so they weren’t going to get there, so I made a decision we needed to walk because the child was breech and I knew that,” Angela told CBS station WBZ. “I used to be very concerned he was in distress. You don’t know what’s happening in there.”
Her husband, Ace, was still back in Albany and had been on the phone along with her when she was en route for a C-section.
“She began having a contraction and was in lots of pain and form of dropped the phone,” the brand new dad told WBZ. “I heard the child’s heartbeat within the background and the nurses saying, ‘OK there’s a heartbeat,’ and there was just lots of commotion.”
Angela, a 32-year-old social employee, later gave birth to her son — on her mom Barbara’s birthday, no less — in Brigham’s NICU and named her baby Aycen Hart, a tip to the “Raise Your Glass” singer’s surname from her marriage to ex-pro motocross competitor Carey Hart.
“The doctors don’t have any major concerns. It’s amazing. He was so early; lots of things could have gone unsuitable. We’re in a great spot and just so joyful,” Angela gushed, thanking the “exceptional team” on the hospital.
“While the family didn’t get to benefit from the concert, they are saying they received the best gift of all — a healthy baby boy,” the hospital wrote in its post, adding that baby Aycen is currently being cared for in an Albany NICU, but not due to any “major concerns.”
While Angela missed the concert — which was a part of Pink’s Summer Carnival stadium tour — the artist tweeted a celebratory message to the brand new parents on Thursday.
“That is the sweetest!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!” the “Trustfall” singer wrote on X, formerly generally known as Twitter.
The Post has reached out to Pink’s representatives for further comment.
Angela still hopes to have a probability to see the singer in the long run.
“We want to reschedule!” Angela told WBZ. “At any time when her next tour is.”
Pink’s outdoor Summer Carnival continues through Oct. 9 with a stop in Phoenix, Arizona, after which she kicks off her “Trustfall” arena tour on Oct. 12 in Sacramento.
