Everyday Australians are not surprised by the huge spike in the cost of living as Victoria sees 50,000 people per day turn to Foodbank services to feed their families, according to Sky News host Erin Molan.

“You look at these images of kilometres long lines of cars of people lining up to get these food hampers,” Ms Molan told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“When you say first-time people going to Foodbank – these are people with jobs.

“Foodbank make the point that these aren’t people sleeping rough or homeless Australians – these are people with full-time jobs who cannot afford to feed their families or feed themselves.

“It’s absolutely awful.”

Ms Molan and her team approached everyday Victorians in the street to discuss the issue.

One woman told Ms Molan that “basically, people are screwed” as the cost of living soars.

A decade of Murdoch’s LNP lapdogs in power, what would you expect.

    Never listen to Murdoch

He gave us Abbott and the Liberals who told us that Australia will be out of debt by 2020 under a Liberal government.

Abbott and his treasurer Joe hockey immediately gave tax breaks to the rich and killed labor’s debt recovery plan to introduce a super profits tax on companies in the resource sector that are 87% foreign owned.

The super profits tax was set up to only tax a companies profits over 75 million but Murdoch and the Liberals wanted that money going to Wall Street instead.

It would have worked very similarly to Norway’s 1.3 trillion dollar oil fund.

The Liberals instead added 726 billion dollars to the debt and more importantly reduced the Australian GDP.

They also sold us out to CHAFTA in 2015 and the Australian economy has been broken ever since.

    Never listen to Murdoch.
He works for the globalist billionaires.

Time to wake up to Murdoch’s US vs THEM propaganda paradigm sky Zombies

Australia reaping the rewards for siding with the Western colonial imperial powers.

At least the Solomon's know the right choice for their future prosperity, safety and security.

Can Australians leave or return to Australia yet, or do they still need to serve time in a concentration camp?

Hey Australian serfs, got guns and ammo?

    🤣

Our own politicians fault, we followed the globalism WEF and the US of DEM’s politics. Instead we needed own independent sovereignty and authenticity. too late we have chosen the wrong side.

I bet all those who attended the world economic forum aren't the ones suffering, but they are ones making the decisions that effect others. This is what happens when the 'intelligent' rich are given too much power.

been away from australia for 10 years, watching as the country locked down like a police state and hearing about how expensive it is there. Oh also the wages are insanely high compared to anywhere else but damn the place is pricey.

In regard to looming power shortages in being wrenched off coal power….: Just drove through Port Augusta. A lovely headwind.

All of the wind turbines were tethered except one.

    Makes you wonder.

    I have a comment!!!

It's possible to put enough solar panels on top of a camper these days to run a microwave, coffee grinder and 12 volt air conditioner. Say 1200 to 1500 watts.

This supplemented by power generated by the alternator allowing people to travel and live off-grid.

Before we are flung to a fate of being unable to start the car given EV unreliability and unaffordability, what about having a duel power system sorted out?

If the car cannot power itself it's a fragile pointless and highly dangerous exercise.

It needs to be self sufficient.

And not have built in obsolescence.

To just have EVS is just as bad as only having NBN when Australia remains riddled with black spots where phone and internet does not work.

And also nothing works when the grid shuts down in extreme weather conditions.

At the moment we are deliberately building in catastrophic emergencies escalating through communications, logistics and survival.

    Seems bizarre.

Our fearless leader wiped his hands on his promise to tackle cost of living.Instead is putting all his eggs in one basket with the unworkable and complete waste of time so called green energy to keep happy a hand full of anti Australian green activists who will not even acknowledge our national flag and should be kicked out of parliament for treason.
