A girl has vented online after revealing what happened when she confronted a mother about her “misbehaved” child.
The passenger explained she was heading to Los Angeles from Dallas for a job when things took an unexpected turn.
“I used to be sitting next to this mom in her late 20s with a baby who about three to 4 years old,” she began the Reddit post.
“We sat in an aisle seat while the mom sat on the window seat, her child in the center and I used to be sitting on the sting.”
The girl said about 20 minutes into the flight, the young boy began standing up on the seat and “stomping while mildly screaming”.
“All this while the mom’s nose was in her phone the entire time,” the frustrated passenger continued.

“I attempted to make eye contact along with her as a approach to inform her that her child is just not behaving.”
Nevertheless, in response to the lady, the mom “refused” to look up from her phone.
“I believed possibly after like 10 mins the kid would get drained and sit, low and behold, the kid didn’t.”
The girl said she then decided to confront the mom but things didn’t go the best way she had hoped.
“I tapped the mom on her shoulder and told her that she should watch her child and tell him to take a seat down. She gave me a grimy look and told me to mind my very own business.”
The girl asked reddit users if she was within the fallacious, along with her post bombarded with responses.
“I might have asked the child to stop screaming, if mom didn’t prefer it then I might have said something to her about having to do it since she hadn’t,” one person wrote.
“But I’m guessing she was so checked out she wouldn’t care she only cared someone was telling her what to do.”
One other said: “I actually have ZERO sympathy for folks who don’t parent, then act offended when people don’t need to take heed to their screaming kid.”
Meanwhile, a 3rd person said that they feel for folks who attempt to calm down their child, but have ”no time for somebody playing on the phone slightly than TRY to calm a child down”.
Others, including parents, wondered why the mother hadn’t brought any entertainment for the kid.
“I actually have two kids that I’ve needed to travel with, but I all the time brought entertainment for them and tried my best to forestall them from disturbing others,” the mum wrote.
“Thankfully they’re teenagers now. Traveling with little kids kinda sucks.”

One other Reddit user said they’d pay more to go on a protracted haul flight without kids on it. “I live in Australia so flights to America/Europe are 24 hours and I hope I never find yourself in a situation like this,” they wrote.
