He may be one but he had other conspiratorial cohorts to help. Take George W Bush for example. I'm well aware the "commander & chief" [administrator of public policy] must make crucial decisions sometimes based upon the slimmest of evidence strictly out of the national security reasons. But Bush, is the one that ordered the invasion of Afghanistan for no other reason being the Taliban at that time refused to hand over bin Laden and some of his cohorts. A 20 yr war ensued. Then Bush had to complicate Middle Eastern stability by invading Iraq and got public approval by telling everyone Hussein had "weapons of mass destruction", even though he had been told by the CIA, NSA and others that Hussein did NOT possess weapons of mass destruction. Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, and others in Bush's admin may have been "smarter" than Bush [after all Jesus was a "philosopher" not a prophet], if so they used Bush as trained monkey to do their bidding. Either way, Bush pulled the trigger. Yet virtually nothing has been mentioned about holding Bush accountable for the 20 yr war and the loss of thousands of innocent lives [military & civilian] for no good reason. The notion that a president can't be prosecuted even when they make decisions and doing so based upon a complete lack of justification should be absurd. That's one of the constitutional error Madison, Jefferson, Hamilton, et. al. made because of an assumption that leaders of America would be honest and honorable office holders just as they were. A public office holder has promised to put the nation's welfare above their own. America hasn't seen that ever since the founder's generation passed.

Not too long ago, Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney and the Wolfowitz's 'doctrine' created a decade of darkness that seemed like a long nightmare. How surreal to see George as a decent guy now. How surreal to be agreeing Cheney. The root here is that if the crap really hit the fan, they'd have a lot to lose. Unlike… the backwoods MAGA nuts. But hey… those nuts were also courted and part of the 'winning strategy'. My how the short term goal is turning out. The irony.
Republican Liz Cheney should be very proud of herself she's true, honest and principled. I believe the people have made a dreadful mistake. but, time will now tell. This new authoritarian Republican party is like a false sense of security it all looks well in the early days but in the long-term everything is being actually taking away from you.

I believe Trump has been motivated also by what was done in the past and no one was held accountable for it.which is why he says he's been treated the worst in the history of president's but still doesn't give him the right to do all that he's has done.
The threat to our Democracy is over worked. Be specific. The Constitution is at risk, T he Bill of Rights is at stake, the Declaration of Independence is at risk, whats left of personal privacy is at risk, and the flag we salute and honor will be different. I could go on but I think you get the gist of the intent.
