Salman Rushdie, the author whose writing led to death threats from Iran in the 1980s, was stabbed Friday as he was about to give a lecture in western New York, authorities said. The 75-year-old author was stabbed at least once in the neck, and once in the abdomen, and is still in surgery, officials said during a Friday evening press conference. I am German and live in Germany. Islam is a catastrophe, after the wave of refugees from the Orient in 2015, Germany in particular is experiencing an unbelievable spiral of violence. Knife fights are now part of everyday life in Germany, only now in August 2022 were there within a few days several dead and injured by migrants. Clerks in offices are physically attacked and women suffer extremely from these conditions. The subject is more or less hushed up in the media, but it can no longer be hidden. The German police are warning more and more often to be careful. Islam is aggressive and does not belong to Western culture. Islam will always and everywhere see us as the enemy.

I don’t condone violence of any kind. Physical or emotional. The latter sometimes can be more hurtful. I haven’t read the book but heard about it. There r countless videos here. There had been discussions and forums on this controversial book. One doesn’t need to read the book to know some hurtful phrases that are in it. It should be banned or we keep arguing here for nothing. No religion no race no culture should be targeted for profit and for selfish motives. Maybe it was acceptable back then, that kinda weird fantasy gory and unthinkable (of how he talked of prophet Mohammed) only could come from a twisted sadistic mind who’s had 4 wives and zero today. In 2022 we have become wiser and more aware of how wrong it was of Rushdie to boldly publish that. Can’t say without fear though. He can’t even live a peaceful life in his own country. So he already died a long time ago!!
