Two months from election day and NBC News polls show a mixed picture for the 2022 landscape. Republicans now have a slim lead when it comes to Congressional picks. NBC’s poll indicated a shift in voters’ top issue from “cost of living” now to “threats to democracy.” 57% of respondents say the investigation of former President Trump should continue. An appeals court gave Republican senator Lindsey Graham a temporary reprieve from testifying in an investigation into Trump’s effort to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election result.

How many states are going to break their own election laws again in midterms?

I was looking for the graph shown today on MSNBC that showed for Dems only 15% had Abortion as their priority, yet the thought was the enthusiasm increase between May and now was just that. But what I noticed in the graph was only the first 6 items were listed, so that only 76% of the choices were in those 6 items. The point being that I can only guess there were maybe as many as 10 choices and the other 24% was diluted over those remaining 4 choices and had they only given 6 choices, we would probably seen a higher percentage about Abortion. I know they say they ask the same questions so they can do comparison between years and polls, but I doubt Abortion was a concern when R v W was still the law. This kind of reminds me of the election polls when there is a high undecided vote and they scratch their heads after the election asking why the polls were so far off. The answer of course being the undecided vote. Not sure how pundits calculate that vote, ie, splitting it between parties, but they are getting it wrong.
