The only question we need to ask: Are we better off today than we were two years ago when gas was $2 a gallon and inflation was virtually non existent? Moody's says the typical family has to pay another $496 a month just to afford the same standard of living they had under Pres Trump. That's another $6,000 a year out of our pockets!

Concern for our democracy should be a lot higher than 21%. If we get Putin's Celebrity Apprentice back in office or his underlings in 2022 then cost of living will eventually be like it is in Russia with only the very rich affording much of anything. One of the main factors of this god-awful inflation was Trump handing out windfall tax cuts to the filthy rich while spending like a drunk sailor which led to nearly $8 trillion of additional federal debt in just 4 years. So, all during his term the Congress had to continuously raise the government debt limit to keep it functioning. $8 trillion of paper money had to be printed just for government to remain open as Trump's budget spent nearly $8 trillion more than the federal government took in. So, all this extra paper currency floating around and not backed up by additional gold and silver means the gold and silver has to be broken down into ever more smaller pieces to cover the paper. Just common sense that the paper devaluates as currency. Hey folks didn't we see this movie before with George W. Bush when he gave welfare checks/windfall tax cuts to the rich even during a costly war? Remember the inflation that followed and even gas prices going to $4 a gallon from Clinton's buck fifty gas prices when Bush's Iraq war disrupted oil supplies giving oil companies an excuse to gouge consumers like they are doing now? There was practically no inflation and stable low gas prices during Clinton's 8 years because he not only balanced the budget with a top income tax bracket of 39.9% but took in sizable surpluses to pay down debt. The economy flourished. Since Clinton republicans can't get enough of heaping more government benefits onto their rich contributors and running up more debt that devalues the dollar resulting in inflation. The only reason inflation did not take hold under Trump is because of his incompetence in dealing with Covid with the sharp decline in employment and the economy. Gas prices declined some due to less demand as everyone was staying home. But soon as Biden got the economy back up and running to full throttle, we had the same rich merchants who Trump heaped tax cuts on saying the dollar is worth less due to more astronomical federal debt, and now the people are prospering. So let us put the screws to them. Folks they will not allow much financial progress to occur among labor lest the trend of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer is neutralized and God forbid the American dream can be recognized among some other than the greedy. You put a greedy president in office who is only concerned with the rich and see what the eventual result is.
