After learning of WNBA star Brittney Griner’s detention in Russia, Naama Issachar knew she needed to share her story. While traveling in 2019, Issachar had a layover in Moscow. After authorities found cannabis in her bag, she spent the next 10 months in a facility until she was pardoned by President Putin. Issachar tells NBC News’ Kate Snow that she was held in cells with up to 40 other women. Issachar says that she was given food, but not toilet paper or feminine hygiene products, and was taken to a cell with an open air roof for one hour a day.

Idk how you can forget about weed.. I guess that's the good thing about being a chronic smoker you always know where it is and how much is left. I remember trying to not smoke so much and that's when I would forget it's there or I would be surprised to find a full eighth it was like Christmas

Why would anyone travel through Russia or Iran, or any number of countries, where they can say, "….you, come with us!…". I've always advised friends and family to stay out of these countries, you've have got to do your research before you travel

10 bucks Russia planted it in her bag. They need forced prisoners for their prisoner swaps. When they get low, they find the next person who they can easily arrest at an airport with their passport handy. I will NEVER visit Russia because of the risks. Their “justice” system is a joke just like their rigged presidential elections.
I think anyone traveling to Russia schould double check their belongings to try to avoid such headaches. They are seeking anyone who makes the slightest mistake because then they are covered legaly. The person caught can't denie that made a mistake and the government of that country can't denie that russian law was broken. The best thing is to avoid Russia alltoghether.
