When i was 14, i was at a grocery store with my family when there was an attempted robbery, several men with rifles entered, and everyone ran for cover. My family ran into the butcher area, and my dad stuck me and my cousin in a trash can to hide us. The situation was over quick and no innocent people were hurt, but im 38 now and i still live every day with that in the back of my mind. It affected me all through school, if affected my ability to keep a job, it has affected my social life, it even complicates the process of taking my dogs for a walk. Its not just a thing that happens, its something that changes you.
