U.K. houses generally don’t have air conditioning, residences are designed for retaining heat in the winter. Kind of the opposite of what happened to Texas cold snap. Minus the incompetent supervision of the power companies by the GOP though.

They should let them take off those hats and wear some cooler clothes! That’s cruel work environment during this heat wave!

That was the judgement of God on BC. Revelation 16:8-9 "Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory."

This is what I do. I call it the poor man's A/C.
Use thin sheet, cut to your needs.
    Box fan, 1gal of water.
You can use tee shirts, shorts, whatever.
Soak sheet in water, lay on body, lay in front of fan and under shade. Oh, and it really helps to soak socks, put on feet and lay in front of fan.

What I am waking up to is the the fake news. NO, nothing to do with Trump. More like my being sick of the left's agenda to keep people hateful and fearful.
From Amarillo to San Antonio, from Austin to Houston; Texans have lived through their fair share of heatwaves. However, some were worse than others.
    113 Degrees – Dallas & Fort Worth

The twin temperatures on June 26 and June 27, 1980, are still remembered by Dallas and Fort Worth residents. That summer broke or tied 29 daily records, 24 of which still stand three decades later. The summer was so memorable for the scorching temperatures (the average Texas high in June is 90 degrees) that there are still ‘I Survived the 1980 Texas Heat Wave’ t-shirts sold on Amazon.
114 Degrees – El Paso and Waco

The fourth hottest temperature record happened on July 23, 2018, in Waco, Texas – 114 degrees, and temperatures didn’t fall below 100 for twelve straight days. Prior to this day, 114° were also recorded in 1994, El Paso.

"It's hotter than love", what my late beloved New England mother used to say when it got hot, but it was never as hot as this due to Global Warming/Climate change! Unfortunately, "Some people don't want to hear the truth, they don't want their illusions destroyed"..Friedrich Nietzsche, another truth! Keep safe and cool and THINK GREEN, think Globally, ACT locally! "If we destroy the environment, we won't have a society"..per the late American cultural anthropologist Margaret Mead in the early/mid 20th century! Tell me about it! smdh

  15. No Body says:

These temps are nothing new. The thing is people sit around in the AC more now than ever so when you go outside it feels that much hotter. When I was a kid, we would be outside playing and riding our bikes all around town in 100+ degrees. If we felt a little hot, we'd just find some shad for a few minutes and then continue on our bike ride or whatever we were doing. My mother and father are in their 60's and my grandmother is in her 90s. Their experience with the weather back then is not any different than it is today. It's called summer and it gets hot. No need for the "brutal" scare tactics.

 And indeed, We will make them taste of the Penalty of this (life) prior to the supreme Penalty, in order that they may (repent and) return. (The Holy Quran Sura As Sajdah-32:21)

 Mischief has appeared on land and sea because of (the meed) that the hands of men have earned, that ((Allah)) may give them a taste of some of their deeds: in order that they may turn back (from Evil).

 Say: "Travel through the earth and see what was the end of those before (you): Most of them worshipped others besides Allah." (The Holy Quran Sura Rom-30:41-42)

I have conveyed the truth to the people of the world, please don't make bad comments.

Please keep your dogs in cool areas particularly short snout dogs who have a harder time to cool off. Dogs are seen in the vet emergency by the 100s due to heat stroke, many will die cuz owners bring them in too late. Please people, dogs also need cool air, shade and water to cool off. They don't sweat but breathe to cool off.

  43. Kiyoone says:

  44. William Poppell says:

America! Change to Centigrade temperature measurements and your highest temperatures will only reach two digits. Hence, highs will feel cooler. Ha ha.
