One more story about Michael Jordan’s legendary sports betting habits has emerged.
On his “Games With Names” podcast, former Latest England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman make clear a hilarious interaction with the NBA legend ahead of Super Bowl 49 in 2015 against the Seattle Seahawks.
“The week before Super Bowl 2014, I took my folks to dinner, and I roll up, and I see Derek Jeter and Michael Jordan. I used to be super starstruck,” Edelman said throughout the episode. “I’m about to play within the Super Bowl, and I’m going up, and you possibly can tell Jeter is a really charming guy, welcoming. ‘Mr. Jeter, Julian Edelman, I’m playing within the Super Bowl.’”
“I saw Jordan. He was form of, like, standoffish a little bit bit. And as soon because the conversation’s about to finish, like five minutes in, I’m about to go away, Jordan comes as much as me. He goes, ‘Hey kid, I got a bunch of cash on you. Don’t f–k it up.’ And that’s the one thing he said to me.”
