Defending Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz is about to defend his title in the boys’s championship match today, July 13, against rival and frequent opponent Jannik Sinner.
Alcaraz took down American Taylor Fritz in 4 sets in Friday’s semifinal match to advance to his third straight Wimbledon final, while Sinner earned his spot in his first-ever Wimbledon final after beating Novak Djokovic in straight sets.
Sinner, a three-time Grand Slam champion, has not won a title at Wimbledon, but he is the last player to beat Alcaraz on the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club during Wimbledon 2022.
The 2 last met only a month ago in a five-and-a-half hour thriller within the French Open men’s final. Alcaraz rallied from two sets all the way down to defeat Sinner for the French Open title.
