Mandatory evacuations have been ordered as a brush fire shuts down a freeway near Los Angeles in Castaic, California. Authorities say multiple firefighters have suffered heat-related injuries and some were transported to local hospitals.

I got caught there.. I took 124 over to 101 to get back to SF. The back up was immense. I thought that once they opened it back up … it would be hundreds of thousands of cars all going to two lanes on hwy 5 … that would have been a nightmare. Especially if you get one of those azzholes who likes to drive slow alongside a big rig. at a slow speed

This might sound ignorant,. And maybe I am. But at this time in our climate change. Couldn’t we use Precautionary water and anti inflammatory substances over the most Volatile areas in California ? And elsewhere? Can’t excess water from Mississippi, Canada( Manitoba…Red River region) , Desalination. And at least help to Prevent these heat related and arid regions. ?
