Officials say 29-year-old Cory Patterson stole a twin-engine plane from the Tupelo Regional Airport, where he worked, and threatened to crash it into a local Walmart. It set off a wave of evacuations as the stolen plane continued to terrorize the skies over northern Mississippi. After hours of negotiations, officials say Patterson landed in a deserted field. He has been charged with grand larceny and terroristic threats.

General aviation overall is very safe and we need to protect general aviation/ small airports and airplanes at all costs. The government wants to remove GA and create mass panic around small airplane’s. The thing is, where do you think our pilots come from people! And when there is a natural disaster, General aviation airports save lives. Please support small airplanes and small air manufacturers and small airports!
